I took my car into the dealer for an oil service and once over the car.


I have had a small leak in the front of the car. It is slightly oily and so small, it can be wiped up with a Kleenex Tissue and not really transfer much. It is however annoying me.


I took said Kleenex to the dealer to show them because I cannot see where it is coming from.


Dealer took off the plastic lower panel and I was standing under the car with the tech, there is not evidence of any leakage, as well as he told me there are not a fluids that are that color in the nose of the car. We also ruled out the battery leaking.


The leak is landing exactly between the headlights, as far front of the car a possible. Almost from where the lip of the air dam is located.


Its very light brown and oily.


Any ideas? Dealer said all fluids are good and that the coolant is red in these cases and there would be no oil up front.


Anyone else have an idea?


Here is a picture of the mess wiped up, that I took to the dealer. The bits are from my floor, but the brown is the substance I am talking about. Dealer suggested I ran over something and it is done transferring. hopefully it will stop.

The OEM antifreeze is pinkish in color.

Could it be your center radiator leaking?

Can you smell it?

Cannot smell anything, its really not pick but brownish. Dealer fouond no evidence of leakage, but I see it on the garage floor. Car going back in September for a window lift motor recall and they will have to re-examine.

My clutch fluid reservoir was leaking due to a failed slave cylinder, left similar spots on ground in front end. Check to see if fluid leaking around reservoir which is next to battery

Clutch and power steering fluid is clear and oily. That would be my only guesses.
