What errors are you getting in Durametric? Are you seeing undervolt errors?

What voltage do you get off the battery with the car off? What do you see when the car is on?

If the battery completely discharged overnight that sounds like something is shorted out, which also lines up with the PCM freaking out and rebooting itself. Sadly electrical gremlins are very difficult to track down. I would suggest checking all the fuses, do some voltage measurements at the battery, alternator, etc. and post what the exact codes are coming back from Durametric. With a little more information and some deduction we can probably narrow it down.

there were a ton of codes including undervoltage.
i remember seeing a code for can bus communication (or something like that).
there was an error code on every category except the ecu. I should know in the next hour or two if its the battery.

Could be a bad cell in the battery. Happened to me once, all my electronics went nuts and I replaced a ton of items before even considering the battery. A bad cell could also scramble an alternator too so watch out and good luck.

car started right up w/ new battery..
edit: fuel pump stays on when car is off..
relay ?


looks like its not the battery. looks like its the fuel pump relay. the fuel pump is still running with the car turned off , key out of the ignition etc.

Nope no updates.
im keeping my fingers crossed that its the relay.
apparently when the car was turned off, the fuel pump kept running. i should know by tomorrow (hopefully).

Hey Steve, was it the shop that indicated the pump was still running? If yes, then that would be a good outcome and you have a new battery to boot! GL!

makes sense that would have killed the battery GL & you sure there isn't any while your in there mod excuses

ok so the relays look ok but theyre getting replaced anyway. should be in tonight.
if its not the relays, then it could be something with the key leaving the power on (or something like that).

I once left my key in the ignition even though it was in the off position, it killed my battery. Then when I jumped the fuse box to open the frunk I fried the Comfort Control Module, be careful.

is that like a "control module" ?
im being told if the relays dont solve the problem, the next thing is going to be the control module (which sounds expensive as hell)
