Yes it's probably one of a few control modules. Mine cost me about $1k parts and labor.
My Durametreic didn't help much, I tried replacing the module myself but I bought the wrong one off fleeBay.

Here is an OK video on how to test a relay. A long as it is SPST. Single pole single throw.

yup. it looks as if the relay was overheated. Im going to wait one more day to make sure the battery doesn't drain before i pick her up.

What causes overheating - I'd want to know that so it doesn't happen again.

 

i have a habit of leaving the key in the ignition when i wash/detail the car.
its switched off, and pulled halfway out, but apparently the electronics dont like this.

I do not know Tim C. At least I dont think so. I find the local porsche dealers completely retarded, so looking for a guy to work with when Shi**T gets complicated.

I run Motec on my race car, so we should get along just fine.
