Long overdue intro...
SubscribeHello 6speeders! I've been a ninja on this site for awhile with no posts. Mainly use it for information and parts as I am not an active forum dweller. I bought my 997.1 TT back in March 2013 and have been loving every mile i've put on it. My previous car was the 2006 M5 (SMG) and it was fun for awhile but missed having a manual. Just figured I'd say hello and says thanks to all who have posted informative information!
Welcome!!

Thanks Mitch! I have been looking at Cobb tune for early next year. I have terrible turbo lag compared to a couple of my friend's 997s. I have an old GIAC tune with GMG exhaust + manifolds.
Well let me know if there is anything I can do for you in the mean time!
Feel free to shoot me an email if you have any questions!

I upgraded from the GIAC flash to the Cobb software and it was worth it just by feel and power, nevermind all the new features that are coming to the 997 platform in the near future. I expect it to be even better once I get the custom E tune completed. Go for it, you won't regret it.

Nice! Yeah I should have gotten it re-tuned after I bought the car since I bought it from Cali and I live in Maryland. It was tuned for 91 and I use 93 out here plus the environment change. The lag I get feels like a single turbo on an import...lol.Originally Posted by A418t81

Thanks akunob! It was a long search when I was looking. I was originally looking for white/black but I am definitely still happy about red. Do people still name their cars? lol...mine is RiRi. Originally Posted by akunob
