997.2 Cobb Accessport with 3bar TMAP (boost) sensors and proTUNE

To make the most out of your 997.2 we are now offering the 997.2 Turbo/S AccessPorts in a package with 3bar TMAP sensors and our custom tune. OEM TMAP sensors are 2.5bar and impose a tuning limit of roughly 20psi. With the new sensor in place we have the ability to tune to 30psi of boost where fuel, modifications, octane allow for it. Installation is easy and straighforward.

Please PM or email me directly at dzenno@protuningfreaks.com for any questions.

Is there anyone actually even offering fuel upgrades or rod upgrades for these cars (997.2) yet?

Pretty sure Carillo/CP have the rods and pistons. A few are apparently working on fueling. When we reach the limits we'll do what we've done on the BMW direct injection motors after fighting fuel limits for years, secondary fuel rail (rails in this case) with port injection.

I like the idea of secondary port injection on these cars a lot. Fuel in the intake manifold should keep them from having any carbon buildup issues too.

Carbon buildup is nasty on all direct injection setups unfortunately and given a considerable amount of work to take the intake manifolds off and clean/decarb you really don't want to be doing it every 20-25k

Heard of anyone installing them yet (rods). I heard BBI was working on the fuel stuff.

BBI has 4.0L 997.2 running around. I know they have built a few other .2 turbos as well with good success.

That's pretty good news. Hopefully PDK can be upgraded in the near future as well.

Do you know if any of these built motor .2's are PDK? Or are they all 6MTs?

Apparently SpeedArt makes and upgraded transmission for the 997.2 TT PDK?

One was a PDK the other was a 6 speed. There may be more I am unsure I will need to ask BBI.

Has anyone done this? Unfortunately I think the Dodson clutches are going to be the best option, and that will still require someone getting TCM control over the PDK.

Can the 997.2 Turbo S really benefit from going over 20 PSI of boost. I am just wondering since the factory turbo's are quite small. Would it be able to hold more than 20 PSI to red line?

Provided your octane and fuel system supports it you certainly can benefit from it.
