I got around to removing my oem spoiler and hydraulics today, but had trouble with the final steps to mounting the fixed mounts. Could you offer some advice?
For starters, does your row of height-adjustment screw holes line up on both sides?
(excuse the plastic and tape, I wrapped up the spoiler to protect if from scratches while installing.
Essentially, if it were to go on the car like this, the driver side cylinder mount would have all the screw holes showing if you were looking at the rear of the car, and the passenger side cylinder mount would show no holes, because they are rotated around facing forward. It's off-balanced aesthetically, are yours like this?

This is how i did it, unscrew the two poles in the wing and install the support at the bottom first. And yes they do match up with the holes. Then put the poles through the engine lid and screw in on the wing, after you screw both sides, screw in the 3 bolts to the engine lid.
I'm still unsure how you got the row of screw holes to be symmetrical on both sides if you are tightening the poles to your wing on both sides as tight as possible by hand, which I'm assuming you would want.
Do you think you could take a picture of your car, straight on from the rear, with both poles in view? I'm wondering which way the row of height adjustment screw holes are facing and if they are infact symmetrical. do you have them facing visible from the rear, pointing towards the inside, or facing forwards?
Also, as you can see in my pictures there is a small gap between the pole and the wing when tightened all the way. I wonder if putting a thin black rubber washer in there would help fill the gap nicely, you know?
As for installation instructions, let me reiterate and I'll try tonight. Leaving the spoiler unattached from the poles, put the poles through the decklid holes and, with the 3 bolts on the support brackets NOT attached to the decklid yet, screw the small thumb screw into the poles, attaching the support bracket to the pole. Once your poles are attached to the support brackets, screw the wing on, and finally bolt the support brackets onto the decklid using the 3 bolts. Seems like two pairs of hands will be helpful.

I used black caulk for the gap you are talking about. And I could not get those holes to line up so you can see in my pic that I positioned the wing and drilled one hole in each side and used a ss screw-once I figured that out it was easy. With drilling method you are not depending on the predrilled holes so you can make up for any asymmetry in the mounting site. I'm very happy with this mod and have had no issues at all.
