Need help finding part details - 997 Turbo

Hi there,

Looking under my car while it was getting an alignment this weekend, and noticed rust embedded in an unknown to me part. Can anyone enlighten me to what it is? I've searched on the part #, but have come up blank. Any help would be much appreciated.

The # on the sticker seems to be 997 105 016 71, but I can't find any mention of it in the parts catalogue.

Agree, thats what it looks like..

Here's a link to another forum that talks about corrosion on tandem pumps in a 997.1 non-turbo.. has a pic of the part.. doesnt look identical but its the same manufacturer (Pierburg)

Thanks for that. Really appreciate all of your help. Don't appreciate that Porsche used a casing so prone to rust, but don't seem to make the casing available as a standalone part. Please correct me if I'm wrong!

To close this out; this is the part I was after. They definitely don't make the casing as a standalone item.
