6.02 sec 60-130! Stock turbos, E85: Cobb/PTF tuned
My Evo 775 kit with Cobb and ID 1000's made 70hp more than their highest performing 775 kit on 110...
Cobb + ID1000 + E85 made a massive difference. I could have probably narrowed the gap to 40-50hp if I used e85 on the setup before Cobb, but I think the time spent doing the pro-tune really made all the difference here.

Thank you very much!
Bobby, the other thing I just realized is that you are still on the factory intercoolers. VTGs, even the upgraded ones, generate a lot of heat when you push them. The factory intercoolers do a terrible job of cooling anything more than factory boost levels, IMO. I literally could not believe the improvement after installing the GT2 units. IATs matter big time when tuning for pump gas, and they ROCKET up with the stock .1 ICs even during a single 3rd gear pull. Get those things out of your car!

congrats on an amazing result! Looks like Dzenno worked some magic for you - can't go wrong there.
I don't powershift at all so my times weren't significantly different doing 3-4 shift or just 4th gear shift. But I wasn't looking for any records, just showing people what the different mods were worth in the hands of an "average" driver. Wish we had e85 widely available here....

Yes, I am very aware about IAT, but being I put together this "Budget"package with Protomotive (Proto's: 63.5mm, tune & 80lbs injectors) to run on E85 (saving some $$ from not buying an intercooler), IAT with E85 was not much of a concern being even half decent 3.5" can support (and is all you really need) 1100+RWHP on E85!
If I was looking to run pump all/most of the time (I plan on running mostly E85) then I would of picked up a good set of intercoolers.
The other thought if I was running pump only, I would of been got a meth kit and run 100%meth (like my 996T) instead of intercoolers as they would do a MUCH better job controlling IAT and give me big jump in octane.
If you move enough cfm with REAL turbos like 3076's, then I think you would need a larger intercooler because of CFM needs, not really for cooling needs as the E85 does a great job of cooling it down.
That is why I am hoping when I run E85 this spring I can crack at least a 5.8 based on your stock turbo's being you laid a 6.03!! If not I would have to talk to PTF!!
Bottom line my friend your car is moving out and I want to find out how to duplicate (best form of flattery) that on my machine and being I have a larger turbo and more mods my car should do better if I can duplicate what you have.
Do you have any 1/4 trap speeds?
Thanks

I'm not done yet. Still more tweaking to be done. I'm not going to rest until I get into the 5s
Congrats on time ...your car is moving......on intercooler note...this is why I upgraded to ams coolers..I'm going to be keeping my car for the long haul...ams coolers give cool boost in all situations....
I understand the budget build, but the GT2 intercoolers are only a grand more. They flow better than the .1s as well as cool better. I would still upgrade them. My buddy Easy2speed had a 63.5 VTG setup on E85 with the stock intercoolers and then upgraded just the ICS. The car gained an absurd amount of torque (like 70 wtq) and around 30-40 whp, IIRC. Both runs on E85, only change was the intercoolers and new stock plugs.

There you go boys. Now you see why I "wasted" money on turbo inlets and injectors. Not done yet, still more tweaking to do. Think I can get it into the 5s.
The car is fast as hell and smooth as silk. Starts up perfectly in cold weather, no drivability issues at all.
Stock turbo record. Boom.
And the daily driveability with the Cobb tune is better than stock, since Mitch gave me the latest revision for the winter even cold starts on E85 is effortless.
6.0 on stock turbos is flying. E85 and good tuning are key

Oh we've got corn juice just not the poor man's version at the pumps
VP's C85 is still the only option unfortunately and pricing isn't pretty at all. Back in the day we'd cross the border just to get some good ol' corn.
