Felix and Christian, amazing as usual! This gentleman and his passion/enjoyment from the car and exhaust system made my day. It is why I do this and not anything else! Proud to be your partner here!
Thanks for the kind words D. We are all as excited as you! Just think that over the next weeks these men are hand fabricating your Inconel and Carbon.

It should have been 3 and half minutes of exhaust noise and 1 minute of this guy talking lol.
I hope my inconel sounds this good when it comes.

After reading up on the website....I understand the following:
1. Inconel - so strong it can be built thin walled and thus lightweight. Thermally stable so weight of titanium without the risk of thermal fatigue aka cracking.
2. Titanium - Lightweight....enough said.
3. Stainless - "Common man material" heaviest of the bunch...but thick walls make for more subdued exhaust note. Should last a lifetime.
Please correct me if I am misunderstanding something. Also...when comparing exhaust note of stainless to lets say Inconel...does subdued mean that note is less "tingy" or just over all quieter on a dB level?
I am new to the 997.1 game and will be purchasing an exhaust by spring's end. I am torn between what at this point seems to be:
a. A brand that's price point immediately associates it with cheapness or bad quality
b. A brand that has what looks to be an almost dogmatic following and reputation as the standard
c. Kline
Throughout my life I have always rooted for the new kid, the underdog and always leaned towards purchasing that product....AMD over Intel, Sega over Nintendo, HD DVD over BluRay etc etc.
In the end...I was always left with a bad taste in my mouth as time, headaches, and money wasted proved the "standard" was indeed the standard.
I would really love to see some sort of documented duel between Kline and option B. 997.1 turbo preferably as I feel these cars are the ones mostly coming off of warranty and ready for people to start modding (economies of scale). Same car...same setup....only difference between dyno runs being the exhaust. Is this something that Kline would be willing to do?

Kline went for the more exotic route like the other AM manufacturers did. Don't put anything cheap on your car. Right now they are making my inconel exhaust and I'll post a review of it. I'm pretty unbiased and if it sucks you all will know, same way if it's amazing (as I expect) you all will know.
But each video they post makes me feel better and better about my purchase. Not many people in the US have the inconel. My understanding it is just me and the other person who posted on this thread, though his I believe is a 3 inch system.
Awesome. Inconel sounds amazing and as a graduate of a mechanical engineering program I totally get it. At first I was like wow...this is totally overkill as it is literally a metal used in jet turbines, but the explanation of it being thin walled and high strength on top of the thermal stability benefits made me understand why its worth the money (at least more so than sexy looking CF RS fenders for $6k). Two kids to feed and a wife that demands toys of her own....equals stainless for me since I want to buy the Cobb AP at the same time.
I didn't want to name brands...but Kline has some features on this exhaust that should help it theoretically perform better. I wasn't referring to a duel simply for exhaust note.
In the end...if it beats option B then its a no brainer buy....but I think even if it matches performance....given the price differential....it would still be a buy for me.
speedster - I do look forward to your review!

I ordered it for sound and low weight. I don't really care about added power but that is a bonus. When I get mine, if I can find someone around my area who will dyno for free or something (sometimes places have those events at cars and coffee), I can post some figures.
Though I care more if I can feel it by my butt dyno, otherwise to me it's worthless.
Turbo give me a call and I will gladly spend some time on the phone with you to go over the details. I also offer a 100% guarantee on what I recommend after speaking with you
I will try my best here but Felix and Christian very eloquently share their passion in the design and why it is what it is. The Kline Innovation systems are highly designed and tuned. The mufflers are hand made for the application and it all matters even down to shape of them, the angle of the X, diameter, thickness material and so on. So no matter the material, it sounds awesome and like no other in it's nature. As for material Titanium is light but brittle. It can sound more tingy or raspy. Inconel in short is very light and stronger which is why F1 and other race applications use it. The tone and pitch it puts out is more aggressive, louder and even a good type of harsh vs the same system in SS or Ti. what we all want these German beasts to sound like. It's just another of many layers in the cake. Think of it as an instrument.
