So my OEM CF center console has a crack in it with a small warp that is begging to be replaced. This is my chance to do something different and be daring.
I have GR on black interior with CF interior package and debating on the finish for the center. I have CF glove box insert, shifter, e-brake and door sills. Just wanted to get the forum thoughts if it makes sense to keep OEM CF look. I'm leaning toward keeping CF, but also debating piano black or Guards Red to accent the car. CF is $1000 more than GR, so certainly a factor. Eventually going to replace the PCM 2.1 with piano black trim too, but that would go with any color console.
all are good choices - however i would say go with red or CF to match what you already have going.
For the price difference, i think i would likely go GR - will be nice break up for the interior and save some $$. If you don't like it, you can always swap back to your current CF with the imperfections.

In the pictures, the carbon fiber looks the best I think. Def pulls everything together a little nicer.
If you had some other red touches like seat belts and/or door pulls, the GR would look better. By itself I think it looks good only with the door open.

I do have red seat belts I'm leaning toward GR as well. It will add a nice touch to the interior that is all black and grey.
i recently replaced my center console. Had white painted from factory to match exterior. Replaced with Black leather stitched. Added tons of class. Did you consider the same?

Go for cf but wait for the db carbon group buy that happens every spring. That will save u 25-30%. u can email or pm them to see when their gb will start. I have their cf console and it is great.

Thx for the heads up. I'm having BBI do some alcantara interior stuff for me now and I was thinking about the center console as well but the CF looks very nice. Care to share the price of this? I'd love to know as I need to decide next week. Cheers.
Eric - do you send a painted console to me first then after I install the console, I ship my OEM parts back to you? Or I take it out ship it to you and wait for it to return? Thanks
