that looks sexy rock! Quick question, how did you get the GT3 vents? Was it a whole new bumper?

Thanks....I actually just used an OEM GT3 vent (Part# 997 575 327 90 01C) and cut the bumper cover and used the mesh etc. from Rennline. Pics below of some of the process for you.

Hope that helps...

You'd make the perfect buddy mechanic. Too bad we live so far away from each other!

HaHa...Thank you!..But do not be afraid....Be careful...

There are two methods that work well. Rennline sells a metal template that ensures you do not stray with the blade. Or you can trace it.

Either way, what you do, is cover the top of the bumper cover with painters/masking tape. There is a screw/mounting hole dead center of the bumper cover and that is your reference for center. If you use the template, you align it and then screw it to the cover and follow that as our guide.

The other method, is to lay the grill on bumper (there is also a screw hole on the bottom center, so you can align that with the one in the bumper cover.
Then carefully trace with a pencil/pen and then drill some pilot holes at the two ends, so you have a place to insert the blade of your jigsaw.

Use a standard jigsaw with a fine tooth (metal cutting) blade and it goes through it like butter

Rennline sells a fastening kit with some small metal clips, and also you can cut or purchase their wire mesh kit to make it all look nice and neat!

Good luck!

Here are the reference points and mesh:

And here is a picture of a template, and the tape on top (This is not me...got this from Rennline) :

Here is the trace method:

Also note that Rennline sells an entire kit and have a video and PDF of instructions if you choose to do it yourself..Located

.

Here is what the Clip looks like. You can also just snap them in as some have done. If the hole is right they fit snug and will stay in. Also you can use glue/epoxy/caulk.

Looks good! I bought my car over 4 years ago and knew I was missing something. I decided to add a hood wrap and some graphics on the side...
I am 100% happy with the decision.

I even did the lip and wing on my ****...
