bbi inconel headers

Does anyone actually have these on their cars who can give me a review of the change after installing?

Is this even worth it on a car that is stock except for tune and exhaust with maybe a IPD y pipe and plenum?

BBI tells me they are more about throttle response then ultimate power. So if you already have a tune and exhaust, these will probably allow for nearly instantaneous throttle response which is ideal if you track your car.

Yea Betim told me something similar. I wanted someone who actually has them on their to confirm and also see if the sound of the exhaust changes at all.

I know headers on like every other car make it sound better (depending on the header/brand).

I would like to try these as well. Stock throttle response on this car was horrible and the tune/intercoolers/exhaust dramatically helped. But at the track I was wanting more improvement still. It's a lot of money for throttle response. Sound improvement will likely be very good as well. I think Eric Dow's car (the BBI 997.2 featured on Tuned has the headers) has these. I need a ride in that car to figure out whether the headers are a must have.

Alright you go try them out and let me know then lol. I'm surprised not more people have these. I thought headers on this car was a fairly popular mod? Everyone going with fabspeed (which breaks apparently)?

I saw inside a stock 997.2 header at the dealer the other day and was surprised how crappy it was. It made me want headers right away but then I was thinking the price didn't really justify the throttle response. I had talked to Betim about them a few months ago when he built my exhaust. I don't imagine it would change the sound of the car because of the turbos but maybe?

The stock headers on the 997 happen to do well for the short distance that they are needed for.

Inconel, may help with sound but, I think the reality with this alloy is heat resistance while maintaining strength.

Still want to hear the end users opinion.

Being that this alloy is nickel based, it tends to bring more expense. How much do these cost?

Yea. Idk why bbi has them for so expensive. I was just curious about them to see if anyone put them on. Haven't seen any threads on it.

My next mods will be DSC and wheels . Maybe a tune along the way....maybe.

Hi guys. Just to clarify, the Kline Inconel headers are not 1/2 that price. The reason Inconel is so expensive is two sided. The material is very costly and also the labor is much more intensive. The BBI units are really nice. I think they are cast which just goes to show the difficulty of fabrication. For what it's worth on the generation two cars and 991 this upgrade makes a nice noticeable difference. Kline is one of the only companies I have seen and fabricating Inconel. Feel free to pm for pricing on BBI or Kline.

997.2 and 991 are at a slightly different angle but look pretty much similar. Just different enough to require a re-design and new product. Wanted to share the 991 pics.

There is no way I'm spending ~4k for headers that don't make any more power. The stock ones are fine, it's like the airbox - don't fix what isn't broken. Just my $0.02.

Wow those look terrific Sam!

Can you give us an impression of the before/after regarding sound and throttle response? And what other mods were on the car?

I understand they might not provide any more power and I'm ok with that...but a more hollow at low RPM and higher pitched high RPM enhancement would make it worth it particularly if throttle response is significantly improved.
