Euromotor mercedes benz in bethesda maryland has a 2011 manual turbo. That's a 997.2. I would go with what other people on this thread has stated and pick a bbi or kline exhaust. IMO those are the only 2 that really sound different than the competition. Europipe too if you want a super deep sound. Get the 2.75 inch kline.
Thats pretty typical when paying off a loan. Not sure why it would scare you off.
I agree, unless you had a really bad feeling about the seller/deal you probably could've gotten it done. Maybe still can. If you have the car and a signed bill of sale and he's got the money, about all he could really do to screw you would be to report it as stolen and then you'd whip out the bill of sale.

I suppose you could use an escrow service.
I walked away from the deal. The guy gave me a sour taste. I expanded my horizons on how far i would consider going to get the car. I found a few things out of state and may very well be shipping a car back to NY. Stay tuned guys. I am on a tight time line considering I'm supposed to be leaving for Tennessee on my rally in exactly 3 weeks from today.
Just as a point of reference for when you do find the "right" car. I have a 997.1TT that I installed a GMG Full Race exhaust on about 2 weeks after buying it. I had decided that I want loud roaring "manly" exhaust. I got exactly that, it was loud and I loved it. However I then decided about 2 weeks later to go with a Champion Motorsports Full race build. They suggested that I switched to a Tubi exhaust because it was the "standard" for them. I was aphrenrsive about changing as I had just spend $3k+ on a GMG exhaust. However I decided that I would listen to the guys I was having build my car.
While the Tubi exhaust is no where near as loud and deep as the GMG was, its still a very nice sounding exhaust. When you hit the gas, it roars, when you are at idle, it is relatively quiet. All and all, I am happy with my decision to listen to my builder.
updates updates...... I pulled the trigger and brought home this baby from michigan on wednesday. Its a 2008 997.1 tt. Im already on the mod bug guys! I already ordered the slip on akrapovic exhaust system for it. I would like to go with a wing next but i dont know which kind. I know I'm not reinventing the wheel here but is there anything i can do about the Bluetooth and aux cord being mia in this car?
Congrats on the purchase, good looking clean car! It appears that, at least, the exhaust tips have been modded (if not the entire exhaust). Good luck with your rally.

The seller claimed the car was bone stock. Turns out he did change the tips but he gave me the stock tips as well.
Welcome and congrats.
A good tune with an exhaust will go a long way.
Some support as well as these cars do get a little finicky.
Good luck
Markski

Nice recovery. Look at it as meant to be.
Car looks great!
Thats exactly how I am looking at it. The white car was not going as a smooth deal and i quickly jumped to get another deal without being down in the dumps about it.
