I personally don't mind not have SC on my car (997.1 tt), it has a GIAC tune and is a six speed, and you can use the GIAC to detune to stock or use the tune. Personally and aesthetically I actually don't like the bump in the middle of the dash it looks kind of incongruent to me and unlike the older 911s. That is just personal preference. I would not dismiss a car if it doenst have SC, mine had PCCB, ASD, LSD with 6 speed in the exact color combo I wanted with a Fidelity warranty till 2020, so I wasn't going to let it go for that.

never understood the issues with bumps or humps on the dash. So many new cars have them with Nav, vents, etc that it's just a norm.
