Guys --

I have a Kline exhaust (awesome) but looking for different tips -- preferably quad rounds.

The Fabspeed ones look great but I know there have been some flaking problems here and there. They are also quite pricey. An option is to wait for a used set to show up on the classifieds and then paint as necessary.

I've been looking at the Schnell ones as an alternative but haven't actually seen pictures of a Turbo with them on. Anyone here with them or any feedback?

Also, the Maxspeed ones look pretty good but are still on the pricey side ($500+)...too much IMO just for exhaust tips.

I wouldn't go schnell. I understand they are cheaper but you do pay for what you get in this case. I bought the schnells after reading xbox's thread. Like xbox, I had issues with fitment and their clamping mechanism (which is really mediocre). I figured maybe xbox got a dud and I took the chance.

In xbox's case, his actually fell off while driving. In my case, because I already knew of his problems, I tightened them as much as they would go and still wasn't enough. I could pull them off by hand. Even after using the stock adapter and some of the ones that come with the kit, it wasn't enough.

The issue is with their built-in clamping mechanism. It blows my mind that schnell did not QA these things before producing them.

I had to saw off their clamping mechanism, make some changes to the piping and get heavy duty clamps. I'll provide pictures if you want.

I would just buy higher quality, proven tips.

To reiterate, the actual tips themselves are really high quality. The issue is with their clamping mechanism. No matter how nice they look, if they won't stay put, they are useless.

Agree with the comment above, though using the shimms included I did get them to mount well. But it was a pita, and I would recommend welding them in place.

I had Schnell tips and I removed them after only a month or two. They fit my turbo fine and they were very solid. My issue was more with the finish. They tend to oxidize and they are very difficult to clean. I ended up using metal polish every time I washed the car. They look great when they are clean, but they are too difficult to keep clean. I went back to stock tips.
