Well, I never ended up ordering the plugs. To rub salt in the wound, when I removed the front plate, I saw that the original owner or dealer used extra long self-tapping screws to screw the plate to the frame. So basically there are 4 holes in the bumper - not just 2. Not only that, the screws for the plate were even larger than the ones for the frame, so those holes are even larger and uglier.
