Persistent P2099 After Cat fuel trim system too rich bank 2 code

Hey gang,
looking for some input here.

2008
6 speed
58k miles
Umw tune, but otherwise engine is stock
fuel regulator line just checked, still connected, no obvious loose clamps, etc.

When cruising, no codes. When you dip into the throttle a bit (say at least 8 to 10 psi) for a full pull, this code pops up after you get off the gas. Car obstensibly runs fine.

In two weeks, I have plugs, coils, 02 sensors (pre and post cat) and inlet tubes planned. Hoping that might solve it, but not sure.

I'm concerned the cats are not performing as expected, but I'm wondering if there could be any other reasons for the code.

Any ideas would be helpful.

thanks.

I have seen fuel trim codes from a bad o2 sensor. Could also be a bad cat though. Hope you get it figured out.
What exhaust are you running?

Wouldn't be a bad time at all to throw an exhaust on there

thanks for the offer, but I generally like the stealthy nature of the stock system. I will see how the car responds to the work done and will proceed from there I guess.
