I just got my car back after having a Sachs 2.5 clutch and the BBI slave installed.
The pedal is FIRM,.... not unmanageable,.. or so heavy that you're going to dread rush-hour traffic,.. but it's very noticeably heavier than stock.
It was even heavier,.. but my tech installed one of the GT2/GT3 clutch pedal booster springs in it ($81.00).
If I had to guess,.... I'd say it was 30% stiffer. (Apparently the GT2 conversion is just slightly stiffer yet). I sure wish BBI had used a piston that was 1-2mm larger in diameter. the engagement zone would have been a touch more forgiving,.. and the pedal effort would be less.
I have a scale that works at angles,.. and I could measure it,... but I failed to measure it before-hand,... so i won;t have anything to compare it to. And of course before-hand,.. it had a stock clutch.
My neighbor is selling his White over Terracotta 07 Turbo,.. so perhaps I can measure his stock setup. But I think his car might be at a dealer on the other side of town.
That said,.. the pedal now engages at 1/3 the way from the bottom instead of 1/3 from the top.
Also, the feel is great. before I would never have attempted a fast get-away from a light,... but now I've practiced a few times,.. and it's getting pretty easy. I can finally see this car hurting some people's feelings some day.
I'll post back when I can do some measurements.

Yeah,.. what is up with that?
I know BBI is very secretive,.. and doesn't want any information coming out about their slave cylinder. They won't say how heavy the pedal is,.. or how big in diameter the piston is, or if it's bigger or smaller than the GT2 one. It's almost like they don't want anyone to order one.
It has the potential to be a slam-dunk product that everyone should have.
Perhaps me posting the pedal effort in lbs was a mistake? Are they a vendor? Do vendors have that kind of pull on the board?

I think you should post that info back up. The lack of information on this exceedingly overpriced part is astounding. If they don't want people talking technical specs, they shouldn't sell it. That's part of the game. "Oh trust us" doesn't fly in my book.
Not sure how it is smoke and mirrors - that implies deceit.
I don't think there is anything deceitful about BBi or the part.
You can believe it is overpriced, and you may or may not be correct as that is a personal opinion.
It's just another option and a set-up that some may like, and others may choose to go with the OEM GT2 type conversion or the Evoms setup - either way, it's nice to have options and let the customers decide for themselves which way they want to go.
I bought the BBi piece, i like it, i considered the cheaper setups but I like the design of this best and i know the R&D, fabrication and race tested approach that BBi uses and i respect and support that. To each their own.
