VW Light Switch WONT work

Hi, I have a 997.1 GT3 and an '08 VW EOS wit auto headlights. The light switches for each look the same. and the rear terminals are identical. but when I connected my VW switch to the Porsche, it did not work. In fact I may have done some damage to the rear body module as I am now getting error messages about the rear fog lights. So this is not the way to go for auto headlights. Keep looking -- I am also interested in auto headlights for my GT3.

Late to the convo... i was originally disappointed for no auto on/off headlights, but since the ignition and headlight switch are next to each other, i simply turn the headlights on/off everytime i start/stop the engine.

Good afternoon gentlemen,

There is a solution for 911 997, Boxster and Cayman 987 and CAYENNE 955 and 957.
I run it on my 997 TT; installed in minutes and almost invisible.
No need to change the original switch

its called PALS, check autolightsystems com website.

Cheers

So, 8 bills for a light sensor and some wires? ...Build a better mousetrap and the world will beat a path to your door! I'll turn 'em on myself, thank you very much.

Maybe for Lada car but we're talking Porsche option price level here and it's still cheaper than a PDLS option on a recent model.

I haven't been able to source a cheaper solution anyway for a $80k to $100k 997 TT

And there is also a GPS sensor to capture the speed and turn the lights on when you reach 80kmh 50mph-ish so one can see you coming from behind
