Updated Coils don't fit?

Both Pelican and ECS are listing 997-602-104-02-OEM, as the proper coil pack for a 2007 turbo. They are quite a bit deeper than the original.

Note: Original design with 15 mm long bolt tabs, (uses 6 X 25 mm hold down bolts), When replacing original coils with updated design (997 602 104 02), longer hold down bolts will be necessary. Also use (Qty.) (2) 900 385 025 01 bolts (6 X 40 mm) for each coil.

I am having trouble reinstalling the passenger wastegate control, as the bolt head on the coil is hitting the wastegate.

Has anyone successfully installed this part number on a 2007 turbo?

Thanks,

Quadcammer is infamous around these parts
I'm pretty sure those are the Berus that I installed without any issues.

On our 2008, the coil on the forward, passenger side, needed to be one of the older(shorter) ones to clear the right side turbo and its bracketry. When we ordered them at the porsche dealer that is what they supplied, with that caveat that certain VINs required that setup, 5 new, 1 old.

You can also use one bolt on the one coil and shave a few mm off the bolt hole on the other side where it touches. Both ways work.

Like M3 Maestro did, thanks for the pic bud ; )

I also used loctite on the bolt. You should be good, done on many race cars for speed during any changes...not just Porsche.

That's crazy! I got the right parts and they fit perfect. Sand and grind and cut bolts...really bro?Anyhow, correct part number is this 99760210400 Vertex has them 37 a pop. Let me know how your "wrong coils" work for you in six months.

What are the "right" parts? I wanted the thicker coils, I wasn't gonna put in an old coil in that cylinder like most do. All I did was sand down that corner, that's it. No cutting bolts lol. That was my choice. Everyone should do whatever they are comfortable with, more than one solution here. If you think its a terrible idea don't do it simple as that.

Al, this is a new thicker coil. Should be a "last time" upgrade especially for a high hp car as apposed to the standard thinner ones that seam to show fractures in between every plug replacement. Works great.

Updated the post sorry it's above. Those coils are a mistake in Pelicans website. I brought to the attention of the site. It happened to me as well man. I guess Pelican parts didn't update. Anyhow, those are for the NON TURBO models.
