Step 8 is Pulse mode. I have had mine plugged in for 3 days and it's sitting on step 7( green).... Step 8 is the maintaining level at 95-100%.....it will give a pulse when necessary to keep fully charged.....if your at 7 your good. Check the manual for more details.
