Recaro Sportster CS install
SubscribeI used the recardo low mounts combined with the Brey adapters as noted. No idea if the airbags worked, never tested them

Was the difficulty regarding the airbags due to the weight (occupancy) sensor on the passenger seat? Do you recall if the Recaro had weight sensor or if you had to transfer the one from your old seats?Originally Posted by jordonmusser

Thank you so much for your response after so many years!
I honestly dont recall. Worst case you can obviously just code out the thorax air bags (what I did at first). I want to say I used a resistor on the seat and seat belt anchor, so it always thought there was a person. But for sure coding it out works, but obviously then your $$ thorax airbag doesnt function
Thank you, I bought the seats and I’ll try to see if I can make the airbags work!
By the way did you just use the Recaro rail kit alone

or you also had to buy a seat base like below:

You will need both. The rail kit mounts to the seat base.
I made my own, but you will need both to make it work.
