From unobtainium welding, arrived and installed alongside an AMS Alpha 9 kit.

Just awaiting the tips. Sounds awesome, can really hear the turbos.

Sounds way way way better than my AWE. Need to change, it's a drone box even with 200 cell cats I think, the AWE.

Sounds pretty awesome, mine is catless and has anti drone pipes ( if you notice there are two pipes in front of exhaust that are just capped, those are the anti drone).

Its 3.5" off the turbos then it eventually goes to 3".

What's that second set of pipes that don't go into the x pipe? Like heimholtz resonators?

anti drone pipes
I attached a better pic of them, those are what he calls "anti drone" pipes that cut out the drone at cruising speeds. I can attest to the fact that they work as designed, as I had a Techart exhaust on there that hummed in your ear while you were cruising in freeway ( not that I minded, sounded cool). This new exhaust does not have that drone at cruising speeds. Still waiting for him to finish the tips, taking a bit longer as he is going to make a titanium version of the Techart tips my car had.

That sucks, I thought the AWE was guaranteed not to have drone?

From what I've been able to gather on the forums, AWE came out with a second generation version (don't hold me to that, not totally sure) which supposedly was better with respect to drone. It could be that I have the first version. Dunno?? Anyways, don't want to thread jack but I'd gladly live with the drone if it sounded as mean as this setup but I'm still stock turbos and manifolds...IMO, the Unubtanium inconel/titanium setup here sounds as good as some of te other high-dollar setups and probably weighs less than a stock or most aftermarket setups.

This is by no means a cheaper option to "other high dollar set ups".
Its not cheap to say the least, however the craftsmanship of his work is unbelievable (look him up on instagram).

As for the weight of the actual exhaust, the titanium exhaust on the car would be lucky if it weighed 5 lbs. Probably less to be honest with you. When you hold it in your hand it almost feels like a toy, hard to describe but doesnt feel like you are holding an exhaust or anything of value or substance. The Techart exhaust that came off the car had to weigh at least 50-60 lbs. (which is basically what a normal exhaust weights)

The inconel headers are not light, they weigh what they are supposed to weigh. However that material is used on headers for different reasons, not for weight savings.
