6speed Official 1/2 Mile list
pre lp eats up the clutches way too fast also.
i think the best 1/4 mile time for TT Gallardos is 8.+
yep, thats my car (before I owned it) with my buddy Todd Z driving. It's being rebuilt for more power now.

Black, is this your car? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y5T6fLHOSYk
its crazy people are stuffing 1000+ whp on the 997 platform with its tiny wheelbase and twitchy handling.

Jeez dude, 1500 wasn't enough? I have no desire for quad digit hp in a 2 wheel drive car, yikes.

::adjusts tampon::
LOL, Syvecs is keeping everything in check now.
Mark, thoughts on allowing this into the list as well?
http://www.n54tech.com/forums/showth...ghlight=draggy
I havent bought it yet, but im about to, seems to do everything the same as vbox, and validates within itself.
Cheaper than the vbox and likely easier to use

in foreseeable future vbox results and time slips will be the only ones accepted for the list.

The list is fun, but in reference to the 1/2 mile events:
These are VERY fun events- but they are also events where the reality of "someone is always faster" sets in pretty quickly. For reference- at a local event I showed up with 3 cars. Admittedly, my brothers and I are not the best drivers- but all of the cars were basically "push the pedal and hold on".:
1965 mustang th400 w/built engine, twin turbos, 2900ish lbs
2010 GTR upgraded turbos, all supporting mods, e85/meth: approximate 900hp
1997 Supra w/82mm turbo, all supporting mods, e85 line lock buit auto 3800stall (at the time) blah blah: 1320hp
The GTR's, Lambos, and Supras owned the event. Nothing else even came close, not the twin turbo v8's, not the twin vipers, nothing else.
I didn't even place in the top 10 in any of my cars in any of the groups. Now I do understand the DC Metro is rather affluent- but this just didn't make sense. I left dissuaded.
If you go, just take it w/a grain of salt.
A pic of two of my babies- notice the Supra with my former GTR's plate still on it:

It's corny. Whoever has paid someone the most money goes the fastest.
Not always, a lot of DIY'rs out there that piece together their own builds. But partially correct since the "shops" always end up taking top place.
