I am looking at putting down around 650-700 whp, which seems like its right around the threshold of that clutch. Anyone with experiences on this set up with those power levels or greater that you can provide any input or further suggestions?

thanks!
Long time ago I ran the 764PP/GT2disc/DMFW. For the last couple of years I've run the 764PP/4.0disc/964LWFW and recently switched to the 487PP/4.0disc/964LWFW set up. Feels even better, best clutch I've ever run. The 487 is a stronger plate designed for higher revs but you can't run it with a DMFW, well you can but it needs to be modded slightly. Unless you're tracking your car a lot and constantly revving it past 7K, the 487 plate is probably overkill but overkill is good in my book. The 487 plate is about $400 more than the 764 plate so it's cheap insurance.

Does the 487 plate hold more tourque? Im running the 764/4.0 setup and making near the top limit of the 764 plate with high boost ... Its holding for now but I don't expect it to hold too long ....

Is it worth changing to the 487 or just skip it for the proto twin setup? With proto you get to keep your original gear too, just send your flywheel to Todd for modification.
