Misfiring on E85 at high boost

Hi,

My car is misfiring on the dyno at 1.8bar on E85.

Ive changed out the plugs to NGK BKR9EIX iridium and gapped them down 0.026.

Would my next suspect be coils, if so what coils are you running for e85 at 1.8bar?

Thanks!

Hi,

Todd will tell you to run the Denso PK20 PR P8. I like that plug as well. Anytime you do plugs the coils are low priced enough and smart to do. Gap to .0025

Good luck!

Thanks man!

On your high horsepower builds, do you still recommend oem coil packs or something different?

Welcome. They have been fine. It's that the heat gets to them after time but easy enough to do with plugs every 10-15k depending on fuel used.

9 may be too cold of a plug. What are the other details of the setup? Turbos, heads, cams, coils?

Ive never had good look with Denso plugs but lots of people do. I was running a NGK Platinum on VTGs, and went to the NGK Racing plugs (iridium) for the big build.
