Engine monitoring

Engine monitoring
Hi Speeders,
My built works pretty well with its stock ECU (Protomotive tuned) but I need to bring a laptop when monitoring it.
Of course no need everyday, but with the 3 fuelpumps, relatively high boost (1,65Bar) and angle with E85 I prefer datalogging often in order to be sure all is correct (lambda, IDC, knocking) for peace of mind.
(a fuelpump can fail or an octane loss could break the toy)
I don't want to pay 1500/2000USD for an accessport (Cobb) to only use it for monitoring but this kind of stuff could be fine.
So please let me know if some of you uses/knows a good product.
Thank you.
P.

I use a Dashdaq - by drew technologies - ( abit older technology with today's standards but works) Can log onto a SD card too and playback on its own screen. you can set some triggers like if afr higher than 12.0 flash etc. You can also wire up zeitronix wide band to this unit too if you want more precise/frequent readout than the obd2 .. You get to see the screen/numbers as you drive too but i do like looking at the numbers on excel too * when I used to log for Todd K. when I had prototune)
I agree the 3 pumps do work but soo not comforting not knowing what is really going on inside ..

Hey P.
Plex pro boost controller, you can hook it to CAN via obd and add aux sensors "fuel press". You can set it up like a standalone and limit boost if anything is off your liking. About half the price of the AP. Very capable bit of kit ...

Thank you guys,
I made more search and am actually seeing with Plex which of their products could answer my need.
Regarding boost control my EVC6 works well so perhap's a dash and data acquisition product may be enough?
I will tell you.
Thxs,
P.

nothing is better than a standalone for this function.

For sure, and finer tuning.
The price of a standalone bolted and well tuned is way higher vs a nice dash/data acquisitor and I don't push the limits (only midboost and E85), so I kept the stock ECU that Todd's know pretty well.
Secondly nobody here has any experience to bolt one.
My built is close to your friend's AIM built, if I decide to raise the boost I will go to a Syvecs like him.
