Tiptronic acted like it was in neutral

I have a 2007 997 turbo Tiptronic with 7,000 miles. It is stock except for a Cobb Stage 1 tune.
Went for a drive last week. Was in Manual mode with Sport button on and did a wide open run. It accelerated in 1st gear and it then was like it was in neutral. I pulled over to the side of the road and in all gears( Drive, Reverse.ect. it acted like it was in Neutral. I put it in Park and turned off the ignition. When I started it up several minutes later it was back to normal. I drove several more miles and it was fine and drove like it always does. This was the 1st time I have done WOT in 1st gear. Normally I just cruise around and get into the boost now and then-it has never been run hard and never any track stuff.
Any ideas what this was? Could it have caused any damage?
Thanks for any input!

It happened between 1st and 2nd gear shift. RPM was at redline - didn't have time to look as things happen so fast when you are on boost with these cars. Thanks!

Install the Stage 0 file and drive the car and see if its still making it.

Looks like a mismatch between Engine RPM limit and Tiptronic RPM limit.

You went into "Limp Mode"
It is another safety factor of Porsche. If you had it in manual mode and revved past redline, limp mode occurs. The rev limiter should have operated though.
I've experienced this a few times. Just pull over, turn the key off and everything goes back to normal.

Mperic is infamous around these parts
Just had the exact same thing happen with a Cobb stage 1 tune, sport on, in manual mode, 1st gear and WOT. Was just about to shift into second and it was like it went into neutral. Did all the exact same things on the side of the road. Finally shut it off, started it again and it was fine. Scared the bejesus out of me..
