My dealer, Beechmont Porsche, said yes there will be a GT2. He sounded very certain...

Compared to the sales figures of the last gen. GT2, Porsche said no for the US market, rest of the world probably, maybe. Remember Porsche is all into MASS production and sales figures. Just my info that I got.

Maybe if they priced it within spitting distance of a TT/TTS then there will be interest. But when it is $40K+ higher than the TT/TTS interest will be minimal in the US.

The Car article in another post here says "no" GT2, only the Turbo and Turbo S. Time will tell!

I doubt you will see a GT2, esp in the US market. The 996GT2 was a performance masterpeice and a sales disaster, doubt PAG will go down that road again, esp if they're selling the crap out of 997TT's and later 997TTS cars.

I'm sure I read an article that a GT2 is planned, but writers speculate too. I think they will have to since the 997TT will spank the GT2 for a LOT LESS MONEY!

Here we go again with the "less money" faster car deal again !

Good luck to all of you with your 997TT, I am sure you are getting one helluva cruiser GT car. Me I will stay with my "outdated" GT2.

I would probably stick with the GT2 as well. The only think that prevents me from buying a used one at the moment is the road clearance. Greek roads are so bad. Unfortunatelly, apart from the additional power, the new Turbo carries some extra weight. And it didn't go in making it more beautifull either
