Which flywheel?

When I pull up a stock dual mass flywheel on various Porsche part sites I get different part numbers with different prices...anyone know if I can truly order either one.

According to the PET the correct one is the 997.. one..

Put that part number in on the Sonnen website and it's $1397.

I'm guessing the Sonnen website is giving you the flywheel for a NA 911.

I thought about just ordering the 997 part and calling it a day. I like to believe that parts get updated, revised, made better with these updates to part numbers. Think the 996 to 997 transmission mount.

LUK apparently is the OEM supplier....but that is neither here nor there. I looked up their catalog and was surprised by how many different models they cover with the same part number DFM153

So it looks like 1 size fits all....question:

Is the price difference between the 996 and 997 part number really worth it?

mobilegun is an unknown quantity at this point
interestingly enough, the Luks catalog doesn't show any .2 turbo models ( H6, 3.8L )

Not to go on an tangent, but I've been looking at this as well for a 2011 since the part number seems to have changed (on presumably .2 cars, can anyone confirm?) to 9G1, instead of 997, for the OE DMFW. I think what you want is the 11401251 part as saabin stated. not sure about other part compatibility, just adding my confusion to the mix. The dealer I spoke to stated the 997x wasn't superceded by the 9G1x fwiw.

If it were me, I'd just call Sonnen (Niel or Greg) and TELL them what car you have and ASK them which is the correct part. They will honor the web pricing and you'll be sure to get the right one without guessing. The website has been know to have errors, which is why I typically use the PET to find a part and then just look it up on their website for a price.
