I have read about pinning the cams, but it is very informative to see pictures of the task. Takes all the mystery away, for sure.

Thanks for posting!

Hello, I am not very clear. How is the camshaft inner bushing turned back? This is an old predecessor of the processing factory. I can't use words to describe how to deal with it. Sorry ⋯⋯

I have found by researching that the inner sleeve can be rotated back into position, but after some more research I have not found the exact procedure for this.

I will continue to look.

The fault of my car P0021 After the Porsche warranty factory worked hard for 60 days, finally my 997 she came back. In addition to the problem of turning the camshaft, my car found another problem, the hydraulic solenoid valve displacement! After the final adjustment, all the normal, the following pictures for your friends to refer to! !

This is a known issue. The only real fix is to remove the csms and "pin" the cam sleeve, do both sides. Also, consider replacing the cam sensors, solenoids, and adjusters too. When the sleeve starts slipping, these other items have to work extra to try to keep timing right...so they experience more wear than normal.
