997TT vs 996 Ruf 550

Looks like we all had too little faith in the Weissach boys. Looks like they've moved the goalposts yet again with this car. Can't wait for the first official independent tests and comparisions vs the F430, Gallardo SE, M6, etc...
...and even more for the Turbo S and GT2!

Now i wanna see the intro materials for the new GT3! (though of course it won't be as big budget, because the model will be more niche than the mainstream Turbo).
Here is a link to a Ruf 1/4 mile time slip: http://www.dragtimes.com/Porsche-Ruf-Timeslip-2370.html

Doesn't mention which RUF model 520 or 550. Unlikely a 590.

My thinking, maybe helps.
The 520 was released in 2002.
The time is recored in 2004 according to the website (my understanding).
I do not know for sure, but I don't think the 590 kit was released by then.

In March 04 the 590 kit was out, but at that time i really doubt they would have gotten to the states by then.
Id say that car was a 550 kit which was converted by one of the ruf travelling mechanics, before RAC...but this is of course purely conjecture...
