Who makes 3" exhausts for 997.1 cars?
Who makes 3" exhausts for 997.1 cars?
Hey guys,
I am on the hunt for a 3" exhaust for my car to support future mods and am wondering who all makes 3" exhausts other than BBI? I am looking for used and will be taking my time for a catless setup.
TIA

I've tried a few exhausts - on my 996T and my 997T. Subjectively the sound from the Speedtech is transformational. I had an eb-werks on my 996, switched to a speedtech 3" muffled exhaust because of drone and I was very pleased with the sound and power output. This year I picked up a 997T that came with a Europipe and I wasn't all that impressed with it. I reached out to John and ordered a 3" unmuffled "race" x-pipe with cat deletes and it sounds like an exotic car now, not a vacuum cleaner. Somehow there is no drone when cruising either. It is the best of both worlds. Combined with some Forge IC's and a custom Cobb tune from Sam@ByDesign the power difference is also night and day. Someone else posted about their experience with the same exhaust - I think it was Bobbyfali and his description was right on the money. The comment about the sound making the hair on the back of your neck standing up at full throttle is true!
Hmmmm...I'm going to have to pay Bobby Ali a visit to hear his exhaust. My AWE was the bomb with my Champion 68s but with the Xonas it isn't quite as bassy and intimidating, lol. Still shrieks like a racing car but it is different for sure.

In addition to the nice exhausts examples already mentioned I would add the Protomotive 3" exhaust. Probably one of the highest flowing exhaust out there because of the design. Has been proven on dyno in the 1k HP range by members on here.
My main goal is to find one used, and not sure what companies make a 3" exhaust. I recently bought one made my Kline and since we were unable to find info on it online we were basically shooting in the dark.
