MAF-less Tune Causing ABS/PASM failures
MAF-less Tune Causing ABS/PASM failures
I'm running a MAF-less tune for my turbo setup, as such, the MAF is unplugged. But since the ABS relies on MAF readings, I'm getting ABS failure errors and the ABS doesn't function when slamming on the brakes.
Does anyone know if there's a setting that can be toggled through Durametric to decouple the MAF from the ABS, or otherwise trick the ABS into thinking the MAF is still connected to allow the ABS to function again?

ABS/PSM needs a proper load value from the ECU to operate. ECU calculates the load from MAF signal, among some other variables. If MAFs are removed, their signal (ie the air mass engine ingests) has to be replaced. Usually this is done with more or less a hack, less accurate speed/density values & relying ECU's base maps and disabling the fault code. No fault code from MAF = No fault code from ABS/PSM = ABS/PSM operates.
You need to find a better tuner for this (only few can manage it properly), or switch back to using MAFs.
