DIY oil change on these cars is perhaps the easiest I've done of any car I've owned

I would recommend looking at what is available in your area for service from independents on your 911. They would be able to give you some more data points so you can see how your current provider compares. A set of PS4's are going to be pricey and the dealer will charge more to mount them, but who do you want mounting your expensive rubber on your expensive rims? I don't see anything outrageous there. I don't get alignments too often, but that number also seems reasonable from a dealer.

I can't speak to the oil change since I do that myself, and as Rig says, it's not challenging at all and would save you a little cash. For10 quarts of Red Line for about $120 and a $10 filter you can save $500 with an hour or so of your time.

Brake flushes require some time to do them right, so I would have no major quarrels with that number, though again both you for about $40 in fluid and $50 for a pressure bleeder, or an independent would do that job more cost effectively.

Overall, I think you are paying dealer rates for the work done, and they gave you a little discount to help. I am pretty sure when you check a couple of those numbers, say a brake fluid change and oil change you'll know where you stand. I have my dealer do some things just because I don't want issues or I don't have the gear myself (alignments). At the same time, I will be using an independent to deal with installing an LSD in my trans.

You might be able to do the same, find a good local P-car guy to help you with the maintenance items and then get the dealer to handle other issues that pop up.

Guys, thanks for the advice. I think I can handle the oil. Just need to get some additional specialty tools to get the car off the ground and figure out how to get to the lower nuts. I’ve never had the plastic panels off.

The car runs great and today the dealer told me that it’s time for plugs. 2300 dollars is nutty.
Car runs perfectly so I’m thinking about passing. I’ll do the coolant flush. And oil.

I need to get my eyes on the drive belt. They said after 10 years it’s on borrowed tine. What’s your opinion ?

Thanks and have a great day.

$2300 for spark plugs, what are they dropping the engine for that? Agree on belts, pulleys and WP.

A good indy will charge you about 7 hours ($700+) for plugs if the S is the same as the Turbo. All the work you listed can be DIY. I bought my 2011 Turbo at 60K miles and did plugs and coils, belt, brakes, all fluids, etc. I did go to indy for PDK fluid change (<$300 labor).

If you have a day (or two) to spare, take your time and tackle the plugs and belt, very manageable. There's some tricky access situations around the turbos but doable. Harbor freight has some tools that make it easier. I'm now at 83k and have to do plugs again soon (every 30k). This time will add water pump, thermostat and pullies as preventative maintenance.

OP, if you ever make your way to Eastern PA (North of Philly) I could show you how to do most of this.

Changing the plugs gets easier with the more disassembling you do. In other words a bit of a painful DIY on jack stands!

IMO as a 'YouTube mechanic' I paid an indie to do this and changed the coil packs as well. Plus they may diagnose something you might miss . . .

The independent that I have used for years in my area is significantly less than what the dealership charges me for similar services. Any parts needed are actually delivered via the dealership.

A few years ago I had my coolant lines pinned and decided to replace my clutch. The price I paid to the independent was approximately $4,500 less than what was quoted at dealership.

Finding an independent that is reputable may be as easy as contacting members of the local Porsche Club of America in your area. The PCA website has a directory by region.
