Did anyone other than myself go to Pfaff to see the new car?

What a joke! I was there around 2:30 - 3:00 expecting to join a horde of P - o - philes enjoying the new car only to be told that the dealer came under 'great pressure' to sell the car late in the week to an old friend ? WTF is that - the guy couldn't wait 48 hours so it could be displayed for the launch? Did he posess compromising photos of the dealer?

I did get taken downstairs into the bowels of the underground storage area to see an un-detailed black car - still dirty and dusty. Low light, dirty black car - color me slightly underwhelmed!

I suppose it would have been too much trouble for them to wash the thing and put it on the floor for the car's North American launch!

 

I was up in Mississauga last Thursday and saw a yellow 997TT driving around! It sounded very quiet compared to the CGT parked in front of my hotel!! I had considered driving up to Pfaff - glad I didn't.

 

So they have no 997TT at the launch today? Thats suck!! come and join us tomorow at Downtown. I'm sure the owner willing to display his TT at launch

 

Yellow 997TT at Mississauga last Thursday? That fast? our launch don't even have paper to do licence yet, if Pfaff delivery their car before official launch, that will be a problem.

Porsche sends the title of launch cars to the dealers AFTER the official launch date, June 24th here. I was allowed to pick mine up when the dealer closed last Saturday and I had to use the plates from one of my other cars to do it. They could not register it without the title. I dropped it off at the dealer Monday afternoon because they are going to detail it and put it in the showroom for an event tonight.
Pity they did not have a car to show on the launch day. Shame on them.

 

I think Canada launch day is 27th or 28th. Our launch car arrived Halifax at beginning of June and sitting there for 3 weeks. They send the cars to dealer last Friday and not allow any dealers release the car earlier. If there is another 997TT on Toronto street last Thu. There were only 3 possiblity. 1, DFC BS with us; 2, Pfaff broke the rule; 3, Car drove from US.
