Carbon Packages
Carbon Packages
I ordered my tt several months ago and tried to figure out what parts were in the carbon packages. I ordered:
803 Carbon Package--I think this is primarly the shifter and brake handle.
EAD Carbon Package Switch Panel--Obviously this is around the switches and air ducts, does it also include up by the windshild?
XMJ Rear Center Console--I think this is just the Center Console piece
First time I have ordered Tip, I have always had manual transmission, not sure I am going to like that. If I don't then I figured I would order a manual and sell the tip. Have any of you driven both the tip and the manual and can offer an opinion?

According to my dealer (Chambers in Boston):
803 has the hand brake lever, gear shift lever and the 3 pieces of trim strip in carbon fiber
EAD has the air condition vents, including the one behind the wind shield, I believe the slats of the vents will be covered in leather so will the one close to the windsheild
you're correct about the center console piece

is it just me or does the CF parts on the 997 look like they're overlays and don't integrate with the 997 interior as well as the 996 peices did? I know they're not overlays, they just don't seem to integrate as well.

they are just as nice as the 996 Carbon. The only complaint I have is the fact that there is a mean glare on the 997TT windshield being thrown off from the carbon strip that rund on top of the dash just below the windshield. Other than that I pretty much have every interior carbon there is avalible on the 997TT and its incredible. It is fitted just as good or even better IMO that the 996TT.
Monsoonmadness,
Just got my Slate/Black car today, seeing for the first time as it was just trucked in (been waiting almost 3 weeks for it!).
I did the same on the CF, I got all the packages. It does look incredible, I thought it would be overdone, but it is actually very clean and understated.
The Carbon Wheel Multifunction is beautiful as are the door finishers...just awesome. I'll post detailed photos late Saturday when the detailing is completed.

However, I'll probably be moving to a C2S Tip soon and wait for the arrival of the turbo coupe.

The Turbo Coupe would be great, If I were you I would modify the E55 AMG, It has lots of potential, Why dont you do the Kleeman K2
I was planning to do a KLEEMANN K2 with Quaife LSD upgrade, but now that I'm getting the C2S, I just killed the idea. The E55 is a little too big for my taste and I really don't need the back seat, so I'm saving the mod money up for the C2S or the turbo. Having back seats here in Boston really sucks coz the medical school that I attend actually asked me to drive my classmates to off campus location to attend clinics. I don't think they can pack in the back seat of the C2S or the turbo.
