Just loving this car - 4 weeks & counting
Well it's been 4 weeks and I find myself just looking for an excuse to drive this car. Yes I have a permenant cheshire cat smile on my face. I thought my E39 M5 was a great car but the Turbo is just in another league. I just can't wait to get past break-in so that I can really enjoy this car. I am very happy with the colour combination and hope the metalic black will ease some of the detailing chores. I was also lucky to get the Sport Shifter installed by the factory which I absolutely love.
Anyway here are some much belated pics.

Looking great, Terk! You'll love her even more once you've broken her in! I broke mine in last night just before going through Portland, OR. Now I'm at 2225 miles and my "chesire-grin" is even bigger than ever!
Time for you to get clear side markers!

What are break-in details?? I guess under a certain RPM/speed for how many miles?? I will find out at delivery, but I am picking up the car about 500 miles from home, so some break-in details would be helpful....
Also I got to drive a '07 turbo the other day with a short shifter. I didn't like it...always felt I didn't have it in gear. However, if you have driven one already and like it, then that is different.
Incidentally loved the way the turbo drives. Noticed no turbo lag unless you tried to accelerate at too low a speed. This dealership upped the price 15% and said the west cost is even asking more.
Mine should be here just before xmas. Still not on the computer and completion date is Nov 24. Doesn't make sense to me that Porsche can assemble autos that fast. Has been quite different with my M3s which take 2-3 weeks at best.

Thanks for the compliments and feedback.
Clear corner suggestions duly noted and action will be taken.
John, I picked up my car in Toronto and drove it home to Windsor (~300 miles) so I made sure that I continually varied rpm and speeds. I purposely took a slower quiet route out of Toronto until I was comfortable with the car.
With regard to the short shifter, I find it very smooth, direct and the gates are easily found even when cold. This is a must option for this car.

A good point, but I have been checking each day with Atlanta. They say now computer data is usually behind a bit. Beginning to wonder what is going on myself. A couple of guys on this webpage have said however, that their tt was built in a week and half or so. don't know........
