No cost Sport Seat Option. Manual or Electric?

Gents,
I am confused. The latest order guide dated 8/22/06 states that the Seats in the TT are fully electric with memory on the driver side as standard equipment... Yet the dealership broshures state that the no charge sport seat option is manual forward/aft and up and down. Only the back rest is power. Is this a misprint or outdated info? It is hard to believe they would put manual seats in a car in this price range. Unfortunately my dealer does not have a clue so I can't ash him. I would appreciate a response from anyone who has recently received sport seats without the adaptive option to tell me what you receive when you order the sport seats?

Also is it true that all the TT's currently being built have chrome exhausts (X54) as standard equipment even if it was not specified on your order record? Or is this just an incorrect rumor? 5 months ago when I ordered mine this option was not available. I hope this is correct. Mine is currently on board waiting to sail.
Thanks for your help!
Peter

Yep...they changed the standard tip finish from stainless to chrome after the factory started up production in late August. Previously, stainless steel was standard but now it's an option. Personally, I think chrome looks much better.

As for the seats. There are three options. The standard seats are power, and then the sport seats are semi-powered and is a no-cost option. And then you have the adaptive sport seats which is a $1500 option (well worth it, IMHO). Hope that answers your questions.

Thanks for your quick response. Wonder why Doc did not receive chrome if his finished production in Mid October? Well it appears I screwed up based on bad advice from my dealer regarding the seats. I had adaptive sport seats on my 997C2S and liked them but seldom used the power side bolsters. I was left to believe that this was the only differance from the no cost sport seats so passed on the power bolsters thinking evrything else was power. In the C2S the adaptive seats are over $3,000 so I could see how Porcshe might charge a little over 1000 for the bolsters only. Well no biggy. I am the only one who will be driving this car.

He might have ordered stainless steel. Who knows...I didn't order anything and mine came with chrome tips.

Here's a picture (sorry it's so dirty..it just came off the truck)

Thanks. It is hard to tell from the pic but I trust your judgement. I did not specify anything either so I will expect the same.

Doc Well that is good so I will look forward to mine being Chrome also. But the seats..... I still do not understand why Porsche would produce a manual sport seat when their order guide says standard equipment is power seats? Also the order guide says nothing about the seats being manual. The only place you can find the manual sport seat mentioned is in the dealer literature they handout which is outdated.

Doc You are right and I am the only one who will be driving it so the seats will stay put. I can't wait!
