997TT market

This is the exact 997TT combo I want but I'm certainly NOT paying over MSRP, I thought the market had soften a bit and a car like this with 2300 miles, $130k sticker, should sell for about $120k?

the market has softened, mostly reflected by the fact that it is not impossible to find a car that is on the ground or will soon be on the ground for msrp. 6 months ago, you had to sit on a list that might be 6 or more months long, and if you were dealing with the florida or some other selected dealer, you would pay 10k over list for the car when it was delivered.most other dealers though, were getting msrp. there are some people now who claim that they are getting a discount when they order the car, but when asked as to what kind of a discount, i am yet to see an amount..i would assume a small discount to people who have strong relationships with dealers. as far as what is this car worth, i tend to agree with you, but since most of the resales have been by flippers, it will take a while to find the true value of these cars.

one local dealer has one sitting on the floor, and the other dealer near me has 3. No way anyone is still paying over msrp for these.

TT discount

Hello, first post here (lurking and learning for a while). FWIW, I was offered $2K off MSRP without asking for an April build in the tri-state area.

obviously, the market is going to change. just like with the 996, there will soon be enough cars to satisfy the buyers. the thing to learn is that to pay over list now is nuts, and the same for many of the cars on ebay with 1500 miles on them going for msrp and above.

I would not pay over MSRP for a Turbo..
I'm surprised that dealers are asking north of list now. They seem to be all over the place.
I even posted a message here a few months back about two available MSRP cars but no one followed up with me.

There certainley are MSRP cars around.. I would sit tight until you find the right car at the right price.

not all the shopper surf the net. for those who are paying over msrp they sure don't know place like here. for the record i know few 997 turbo got sold in LA for 10k over. the car is still strong.
