Nothing compares with shifting through the gears in a 911 Turbo.
Nothing.

I'm waiting for the PDK; I was told by my dealer that tip's would be pretty hard to come by during the next year.

Does your dealer have an allocation for a tip?

With your current situation of wanting to replace a car you just took delivery of, you may be a bit too indecisive to be truly happy with a choice the board helps you make.

FYI,It's my understanding the PDK aka Double Clutch will be on the GT2 rear wheel drive only.

Have driven both extensively. 6-speed all the way.

Ditto...majority of the FUN is shifting the car yourself. With Tip, PSM,etc. the car's doing all the driving for you!

6 speed all the way, but just be sure this is what you really want. Seems like a lot of impulse/gotta have the latest thing/buying going on.
You should probably just keep the targa for a bit and decide if it's what you really want or not. By then the 'hit' will be less and you can get the pdk TT.
GL either way.

I've driven both and I found the 6speed to be much more fun because you're more involved in the whole driving process. Plus you can only get the limited slip diff with the manual too. That's a deal-breaker for me too. Hey, you're posting on 6speedonline after all!
