18"s for 19"s good/bad idea??
18"s for 19"s good/bad idea??
Getting ready to buy HRE C21s for the reduced unsprung wt. Is it
a win/win situation to convert from 19s to 18s??
I know one must get a more comfy ride with 18s over 19s. But now I understand Porsche has modified '07 turbo suspension so 19s ride "more
friendly", so 18s may not provide that much of a "softer" ride. Don't know.
Also Porsche recommends 18" winter tires, so PSM, PASM won't be hampered with. Correct? Anybody know?
Noticed vast majority of Porsche race cars go with 18. At the recent Rolex, all porsches had 18s that I could get close enough to in the pit area. If this is the case, there should be no more side-to-side motion with 18 than with 19s or drivers wouldn't use them so much on the track.
Supposedly 19s look better(can't see that), but for $6K, I want improved comfort, less weight, but without loss in performance. Is that possible to achieve with 18s or am I stuck with 19s?? Need opinions

You created this topic before .. we already discussed this here:

bottom line, go with the 18s if you want track/comfort.
