Print shops use a mesh looking overlay to print advertisements on to stick onto car and bus windows. You can see thru it but to the outside eye you clearly see the ad. I found some extra of this material at a print shop and merely cut it to fit my signals. I was thinking of having them cut out these on a plotter and make them available for people to use. It would be really, really cheap (<$10)

It is stuck onto the outer surface of the signals - took perhaps 10 seconds to do. LED's don't get hot so I think it would work on the inside too but I see no advantage. This also acts kind of like stonegard protection as well!

Thanks! What is even neater is that close up the signals have a multi-faceted look (think insect eyes) from the mesh. I think that makes it look even better than dark limo tint which I initially was going to try

 

so if I understand, this is essentially an untreated piece of the black mesh material that has a stick on material on one side, correct? is it black mesh with the holes being round? are the size of the holes very small? how do you think this would look on a meteor car? sorry to ask so many questions but I think this is a terrific mod. any chance you'd take a close up picture of this? talk about excitement on a saturday night!

 

Yes, exactly right. I think this makes the car look much more aggressive and less like it has cataracts on the front end.
