Thanks to Mike at A.W.E.
Thanks to Mike at A.W.E.
We just wanted to compliment Mike at A.W.E. for excellent service and patience. We visited to discuss more horsepower for our TT. He took me and my wife for a ride in their GIAC tuned TT with the A.W.E. exhaust. And he let me drive it. Awsome car, but it was hard to drive it hard because I kept hitting the rev limiter.
Mike put the GIAC tune in our car. For now we are not doing any exhaust work till we see if we like the car as it is now. But for those who are considering the GIAC tune, even without exhaust work, there is more power at WOT. But what I like best is the ability to drive in 5th gear and pass cars with no downshifting. There is more torque at useful cruise speeds.
We just wanted to give credit to Mike and company for his hospitality and good work.

The folks over at AWE are some very nice people indeed. I've been to their facilities twice for Dyno days through a local Audi club and they have always been gracious in their hospitality. Todd gave me a tour of their fabrication area last time and I was impressed to the level of detail and amount of R&D that they go through to bring products to market. Kudos to AWE!
Vincy-

You _have_ to uncork that sucker with an exhaust
You really do! The back pressure in a stock exhaust is like 10psi so it's hard for those suckers to spool up with that... Uncork it and let the software do its thing

OK, I'll line up at the AWE salad tossing bar as well..... Great products, great service. Having installed the exhaust myself, I can assure anyone that the fit is perfect and the materials top notch.
