"Do you want more power?"
"Why yes! Of course I would!"
"Well, it's going to cost you $1840 more."

I jumped on the bandwagon and ordered it too. In hind sight it's a waste of money, mild bump in the timing for 10 seconds for 2k. I agree it's absence may harm resale, but how much really? 500$?
I would have no hesitation buying a TT without the sc, it's not a deal maker/breaker for me.

Marty DiBergi: Put it up to eleven.
Nigel Tufnel: Eleven. Exactly. One louder.
Marty DiBergi: Why don't you just make ten louder and make ten be the top number and make that a little louder?
Nigel Tufnel: [pause] These go to eleven.
Ah, but once you tune the car it runs in the sport mode. The program from Porsche sucks. It has some issues. The tuning makes all the difference in the world and is activated through the sport button.
<O
The button does more than just boost guys, it sets the throttle response, PSM to more aggressive and the suspension parameters. It is more than a silly clock in the dash. In the end 1800.00 verses the toys you can get and resell are worth it. If you have it try this....keep steady throttle, push the sport button while doing it. See what happens. Better yet, try the reverse. Be in sport, stay steady throttle and kill the button. <O

you are right-there is no hp increase, but as others have said, it increases the throttle response. i also agree-the chrono should be standard. why would anyone buy a turbo and not want the throttle to be more sensitive? of note is that the sports chrono is even more necessary in the lower hp models, like the c4s-i owned an 06 c4s, and with the sports chrono on, the c4s is a completely different car. it feels a bit sluggish with the sports button off. if porsche wants to charge a few more bucks, well do it, but why get one without the hotter set up?
