Basalt black or regular black on new order?

Hi,
Being first in line, I get to spec the dealers launch TT cab, and just can't decide on a color. First I put in GT silver, thinking it's safe and easy to take care of. Then I saw the photos of the black TT cab posted here, and now think I will change to black. I know lots like basalt, and I'm sure it will be a little easier to maintain, but I've seen it many times and it always looks dusty, or spotty, even when clean due to the metallic. Flat black is more striking to my eye. As an aside, basalt will still be a lot of work, why not get regular black?

Anyone else gone through this conflict? I mean with no disrespect, as I have owned GT silver, and now have arctic on my cab, but silver never has the wow factor that a clean black car has.

Any photos of basalt or black to help? Can I get some moral support for triple black?

Take a look at my C4s Cab in Basalt. With the turbo wheels installed, this looks as close to the upcoming turbo as you will get.

I vote solid black, I agree Basalt looks nice, but dusty to me.

Here's my opinion. When I was buying my turbo I was considering black and basalt. I was leaning towards basalt for the cool metallic idea, but then I saw it under certain light... and there was a purple tone that I wasnt fond of. If I were to get a black turbo, it would be flat black.

My C4S was Basalt, and it was every bit as difficult to keep clean as regular black, but never looked quite as good. I say go with regular black.

Have both colors. I find the Basalt is much easier to maintain and I happen to think the color looks great.

I have a Basalt Black CTT which is very nice but it doesnt have the deep lustrous wet look finish of the solid black 997tt that I just got.
In some lights Basalt looks dusty brown!
You will have to look after it but its definitley worth it!
See attached pics of 997tt in solid black.
