2007 997TT Production Numbers
2007 997TT Production Numbers
Does anyone know how many '07 997TT's are being produced, and how many the average dealer is getting? I drive in a lot of traffic each day (yes, in whatever you might call the "appropriate" areas) and I'm just not seeing very many of these vehicles at all. I see lots of 996TT's, but that's understandable given the number of years they were produced. Just curious.
by now, i believe that there are between 1500 and 2000 around, except for mine, i have only seen one other on the road. take into account that a bunch of owners drive their car on a nice weekend day (why?). 2000 means that the ny metro area might have one hundred, therefore the chance of seeing one of so few cars in not so great.
Well, here in Southern California, where the weather allows for more driving days, I drive between Los Angeles and Orange County regularly, and yet I see very few 997TT's except when I'm near a dealership. Even then there may only be one on the lot. I was curious how this year's numbers compare to the years when the 996 Turbos were being produced; it seems like there were and still are many more of them on the road relative to the 997TT's. Just my observation...

Thanks to everyone for all the detailed sales data -- it's a lot more info than I expected to get! I found it interesting to see the variance in sales numbers month-to-month for the 997TT, like in Sept. and Oct. '06.
As far as seeing more 997TT's in B.H. and Newport Beach, I agree with the contributor above, but since I live and work in Newport Beach, and since there's a local dealer here, I would expect to still see even more. While I see lots of 996 Turbo Cabs around here, what appear to have really stolen sales from Porsche around here are the Bentley GT's, Lambo's, Ferrari's and Aston Martin's. Porsche never had this kind of competition in years past, and these cars are finally considered, or are percieved to be reliable enough to warrant ownership.
