997tt tuning won't come easy and I don't believe that they have anything yet. People had mixed results on the 996tt side with it...

Well I can't speak for the 997 turbo but I had an Upsolute tune in my 996 turbo, was happy at first but after a few months the engine broke down,a burned exhaust valve, bended rod, damaged 1 cylinder and piston and also damaged oil pump,I tried to contact them but never got an answer, costed me 13000 euro to repair.Afterwards I used FVD for tuning, very happy with it,never had any problems.
Picture exhaust valve:

I had a friend with 996TT that used them with great results, but then there were some folks who like dixie had their engines torpedoed because to make the power the tune was on the lean side!!

Not sure what caused the problem above - however, what is worrisome is the lack of support.

Choose a tuner that you can pick up the phone and talk to the guy actually doing the tune.

I couldn't agree more, were not messing with cheap parts.

The shop I use (Autowerks in Toronto) suggested Upsolute to me a couple of years ago. Looked like lots of torque etc... but I couldn't find any feedback on the tune so I passed. Happy I chose Protomotive b/c it's a great tune and it doesn't cost me each time I change something (like adding bigger vtg turbos).

A friend of mine tried upsolute six years ago in his 996TT MY04...when the car was at WOT check engine was on....Ecu was sent back and they correct the problem...but guess what...boost was the same as stock...and performance as well...So he returned (again) the ecu and they switched file to original...However finally they did not charge anything...
