Talking White 997 TT!

I just recently joined and really enjoy the forums and the insightful tips and information posted. I just took delivery of my TT a couple weeks ago and am truly enjoying the car. I'm considering some of the ECU flash kits out there such as the one offered by TechArt and the GIAC one. If any of you have any experience with them please let me know what you think. Thanks!

I think those are 19's good choice now please lower the car with Techart Lowering springs and paint the rear bumper and sideskirts in white.

Congrats to you! I have the GIAC and some other goodies and love it. The tuners on this board should be able to help you with specs and $$.

Probably not a good idea to lower the car especially with all the steep driveways in LA. Beautiful car! Do you have any other mods besides the wheels? Might be time to invest in clear side corners.

Yeah, that's a 993 Cabriolet I bought in '97 as a Christmas gift for my dad. Silver with blue top custom ordered from Germany. Had it for ten years and has fairly low mileage at around 16k miles.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, i've heard good things about the GIAC stuff and it's something I'd like to put in after I enjoy the car stock for a bit first.

...I was also considering the Techart body kit at one point but honestly with the 19th's I think the lines and look are already quite nice. My car is already bottoming out now on my driveway at home so I think lowering it would make it only worse. I asked my dealer and they told me that the front lip is about $500 which is an arm and leg considering it's only a piece of plastic..

Uh...I think your dealership is overcharging you. They're selling those lips for $200 at some places.

Yes, painting the lip will make it look better. However, there will be alot of maintenance needed when you scrape that spoiler. Chipped and cracked paint etc.
