996tt Vs 997tt

Hello,

Here is an interesting video of a slightly modified 996TT with more or less 530hp and a front of GT2 against a stock 997TT.

What do you think in terms of performances between your 430 and 997TT?

i have had a 996tt and do have a 997tt-the 997tt is a superior car in many ways. the 996tt is a great car though, and i could understand not spending an additional 50k to go from the 996 to the 997.

Ari has a modded 996 tt (ECU, exhaust, and intake) & ran a 997 tt recently. I think he said it was pretty close...unless maybe the 997 tt was sporting a giac as well.

Yup, looking at the video the 997TT probably was a Tip and I think it benfited with the overboost function from the sport chrono thats why it got a good luanch.

That 996 is fast but the 997 didn't do bad considering it's stock

997tt ecu upgrade against that 996tt would be murder.

The 997TT looks like it was letting off at some point and getting back on it. Anyways its funny you came on the 997tt board just to show this video.

If you want to go fast, keep the 996TT and through in some mods and you will be very happy.

Not murder but it would probably pull a couple carlengths.

I agree, this should be in the 996 TT thread.

You can do the same with the 997tt.

700HP with just basic upgrades.
